Models

Each model is a single OLM file (.olm.yaml): a baseline life table, the personal factors that adjust it, where every number came from, and test cases that any implementation must reproduce.

• US adults: smoking, weight and exercise

  Adjusts US population mortality for three of the best-measured lifestyle factors: cigarette smoking (including the age you quit), body mass index and leisure-time exercise. Each effect comes from a large published study of all-cause mortality; the share of US adults in each group comes from NHANES.

  Average mortality for the US population, with no personal adjustments. It reproduces the Social Security Administration's published period life expectancies and is the starting point for other models.
